Classic games get new life through reverse-engineering ports

Video game decompilations are enabling classic titles like Halo and Lego Racers to run on new devices, including web browsers and Android. Ship of Harkinian lets players enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on PC without original hardware. These unofficial ports operate in legal gray areas.

For the last several months, I haven't been playing Ocarina of Time on a Nintendo console at all. Instead, I've been playing it on something called Ship of Harkinian: an unofficial port of Ocarina of Time for PC.
