Bahrain's Health Minister advocates pandemic preparedness at UN

Dr Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Bahrain's Health Minister, participated in a high-level UN General Assembly meeting on pandemic prevention and preparedness. She emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to multilateral cooperation and international solidarity, noting health risks transcend borders. Bahrain will continue strengthening preparedness through risk assessment, emergency planning, research support, and workforce capacity building.

Pandemics and health emergencies have shown that health risks know no borders. Strengthening preparedness is therefore a shared responsibility that requires international commitment and multilateral cooperation.
