Bahrain showcases alternative sentencing to European Parliament

Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Director General of the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, received a European Parliament delegation at the Open Prisons Complex. The meeting reviewed Bahrain's alternative sentencing system and Open Prisons Programme, including education, training, employment and social support initiatives. The delegation commended the programmes and expressed appreciation for reintegration efforts.
