Bahrain leads GCC safety meeting on worker protection

Sheikh Ali bin Mohamed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa chaired the third Executive Committee meeting for Occupational Safety and Health across GCC Member States on September 22-23, 2026. Discussions covered capacity building, a unified GCC framework, and heat stress protection initiatives for workers. Officials emphasized continued coordination and expertise-sharing to strengthen workplace safety across the region.

The meeting also discussed an initiative to protect workers from heat stress, as part of efforts to enhance preventive and safety measures and protect workers in the workplace.
