Hurricane Polo to intensify, threatens Mexico's Pacific coast

Hurricane Polo will rapidly intensify into a major hurricane this week, the National Hurricane Center warned Monday. The storm, centered 290 miles south-southeast of Manzanillo, Mexico, could bring heavy rain, rough surf, and tropical-storm-force winds to Mexico's Pacific coast late Tuesday into early Wednesday. Maximum sustained winds are 90 mph, with forecasters expecting 4 to 8 inches of rain.
