Scientists reconstruct videos from mouse brain activity

Researchers at University College London decoded what mice saw by recording single neuron activity in their visual cortex using calcium imaging. They reconstructed short video clips from brain signals, then tested the method on unseen footage. The reconstructions captured essential structure and motion, showing the brain's interpretation isn't a perfect copy but highlights, excludes, and distorts reality.
