PM-KUSUM 2.0 announcement likely soon; agrivoltaics to get dedicated component

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi announced that PM-KUSUM 2.0 will be launched shortly with a dedicated agrivoltaics component combining agricultural activity with solar power generation. The scheme will support small and marginal farmers, FPOs, cooperatives and panchayats. Joshi emphasized the need for deeper research on agrivoltaic applications across different crops and climates.
