Star subs rescue Chelsea as Alonso 'takes blame'
Chelsea recovered from 2-0 down to beat Leeds United 6-3 in the Carabao Cup third round at Stamford Bridge. Manager Xabi Alonso made four substitutions at half-time, bringing on Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers, Pedro Neto and Reece James. Palmer scored twice, Neto also netted, and Rogers created four goals from open play. Alonso took responsibility for Chelsea's poor first-half display.
