East Zone dominated day three of the Duleep Trophy final at MAC Stadium, with disciplined bowling and a commanding first-innings total of 708. South Zone struggled in response, reaching 242 for six while chasing 709. Devdutt Padikkal scored 62, and skipper Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 56, but East's Mohammed Shami and Mukesh Kumar took two wickets each, leaving South 466 runs behind.
