Houthis Accuse Saudi Arabia of Airstrikes as Yemen Fighting Intensifies

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels accused Saudi Arabia on Monday of carrying out airstrikes across the country as fighting intensified along the Red Sea coast. More than 300 people were reportedly killed and hundreds of families displaced in recent days. The Houthis are pressing an offensive to seize territory near the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait, a key maritime route. UN envoy Hans Grundberg warned that renewed large-scale fighting could worsen Yemen's humanitarian crisis and hinder political settlement efforts.

A return to sustained large-scale fighting will carry grave consequences for civilians.
