Arab League Backs Qatar's Bid for 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games

The Arab League Council affirmed its support for Qatar's candidacy to host the 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games during its 166th Ordinary Session Monday in Cairo. The endorsement aims to strengthen Arab presence in global sports. The Council called on Arab member states to support Qatar's bid in international forums and tasked the Arab League Secretariat General with following up implementation.

The Council stated that this support forms part of efforts to bolster the Arab presence in the global sports arena
