Gasly grabs pole at Monza in 190th start
Gasly bags first career F1 pole at Italian Grand Prix
Pierre Gasly claimed his first-ever F1 pole position at the Italian Grand Prix, driving for Alpine. His final lap of 1 minute 21.786 seconds edged Mercedes's George Russell by just 0.060 seconds. The pole is also Alpine's first since rebranding from Renault in 2021. Oscar Piastri qualified third but received a three-place penalty for impeding Liam Lawson.
