BD10,000 Accident Claim Dismissed Over Notarized Waiver

Bahrain's Third Civil Division of the High Court of Appeals has dismissed a BD10,000 compensation claim filed by an Asian national injured in a traffic accident. The court upheld a notarized waiver the claimant had previously signed, relinquishing all criminal, civil and personal rights in the case after receiving amicable compensation. The waiver was ruled clear, binding and irrevocable.

The waiver was clear and binding and could not be revoked years later to pursue another compensation claim.
