Raj Thackeray warns cadres against communalism distracting from economic problems

MNS chief Raj Thackeray, speaking at Thane on September 6, urged cadres and citizens from both Hindu and Muslim communities to resist social-media-fuelled religious conflict ahead of the Ganesh festival. He questioned India's 7.8% GDP growth, citing a report claiming 503 companies shut between 2021 and 2026, and addressed a criminal case against his son Amit over a PM Modi photograph at Government Polytechnic Pune.

"I have the greatest fear that riots will be created during the upcoming Ganesh festival."
