Wikimedia Foundation will bank on human editors to stay relevant

Wikimedia Foundation's Jorge says human knowledge remains central even as AI models increasingly train on Wikipedia data, driving heavy bot traffic. A dedicated trust and safety team and disinformation team monitors false edits and vandalism. Election periods trigger extra vigilance, with regional coordinators alerted to doubtful content. Over 250 volunteers, including 25 from foreign countries, attended a three-day national conference at Crowne Plaza in Kochi.
