Recall hits five health centres in Kozhikode
Kozhikode Corporation recalls medicines after councillors flag expiry concerns
Kozhikode Corporation has begun recalling medicines from health and wellness centres after some were found nearing or past their expiry dates. Medicines have already been taken back from five centres. The supplying agency is collecting the stock, with the process due by September 7. Recalled medicines will be replaced. The Corporation sources supplies through the National Health Mission via Kerala Medical Services Corporation Ltd.
Congress councillor K.C. Shobhitha alleged that there was a larger 'lobby' behind the supply of old medicines and urged the Corporation authorities to bring the matter to the attention of the State government.Read the full story in News Majlis › View at The Hindu Kerala ›
