Netanyahu orders evacuation of illegal West Bank settler outposts under US pressure

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the dismantling of illegal settler outposts in the occupied West Bank, reportedly under US pressure to curb settler violence. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich confirmed the order, with Ynet reporting about 100 outposts affected. There are 340 outposts in the West Bank alongside 146 government-recognised settlements housing more than 500,000 Israelis.

Calling the violent settlers 'terrorists', US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said they should face serious consequences.
