India's largest drug firm Sun Pharma has offered Most Favoured Nation pricing to the US Medicaid programme under a Trump administration agreement, avoiding threatened 100% tariffs on innovative drugs and 100-200% duties on generics. The US generates approximately 27% of Sun Pharma's global revenue. The deal includes commitments to strengthen US supply chains by contributing to the Strategic Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients Reserve.
