Dinesh Beedi Co-op Transferred ₹1.7 Crore to Non-Existent TN Company, Alleges Congress

Congress's Kannur district president Martin George has alleged that the Kerala Dinesh Beedi Workers' Central Cooperative Society transferred ₹1.7 crore to Sreelakshmi Venkateshwara Finance, a Tamil Nadu company that no longer exists, through multiple transactions between January and March 2026. George demanded a Vigilance inquiry, questioning whether the transfers — made without government approval — had backing from senior officials.

Those behind the transactions claimed that ₹4 crore had to be paid to the private company initially to secure the ₹100-crore assistance.
