Pakistan chaos: PCB seeks answers over Rizwan, Imam picks as Misbah quits committee

The PCB has issued a notice to its selection committee — including Aqib Javed, Misbah-ul-Haq, and Asad Shafiq — demanding written explanations over player picks, specifically referencing a June 2, 2026 meeting. The move follows Pakistan's disastrous Test series start against England. Seven players were released, while head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul have also been removed from their positions.

The notice directed committee members to submit written explanations detailing the players' performances, selection criteria and other factors considered during the process.
